When we hear about serial killers we figure it is a one-man job. But sometimes one is not enough. Many cases have come up over the last few years of couple serial killing. These couples have done some serious crimes whether it is for the money or to abuse or psychopathy.

Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka

Paul was 23 and Karla was 17 when they got married. They both together murdered and raped 3 women, one being the own sister of Karla, Tammy Homolka.

Their marriage might have appeared to the world as a happy couple but it was more of physical and emotional abuse. They not only committed those crimes but also videotaped those brutal moments.

Tammy Homolka was their first victim. They drugged, raped and murdered her when she was only 15 years old. They even convinced their family it was an accidental death. Later on, they murdered two other girls Kristen French, 15 years old and Leslie Mahaffy, 14 years old.

They were arrested in 1993. Paul is now in prison for the rest of his life serving, and Karla served in prison for 12 years. After that, she got released and remarried and is a mother of 3 children.

Fred and Rosemary West

They were this British serial killer couple who committed at least 12 murders together. All their victims were young women including their daughter.

There was no file reported of their missing daughter whose name was Charmaine, later on, it was obvious that they murdered her.

They were active between the years 1967 to 1987. All their victims were brutally tortured and sexually abused. The couple got caught in 1994, Rosemary is now in prison serving a life sentence. While Fred committed suicide when his trail was going on.

Ian Brady and Myra Hindley

They are the one known as the Moors Murders. Ian and Myra killed 5 children in England between July 1963 and October 1965. The victims were five children who were sexually assaulted and some were even discovered in graves dug on Moors.

Ian had the worst past or you can say a horrible childhood that made him have thoughts like this. Later on, when he got married to Myra they fell in love with each other. But on her trials. Myra said she got drugged and raped by Ian many times. Both of them got life sentences as punishment. Myra died in 2002, at the age of 60, while Ian is still in prison.

Suzan Carson and James Carson

Suzan and James were American serial killers who were convicted for three murders. They were active between the years 1981 to 1983. They are also known as witch killers because when they got caught they said they were killing witches.

Their first victim was Keryn Barnes of 22 years old, Susan's roommate. She had to lose her life as the murderers considered her a witch. Later on, They killed two more people named Clark Stephens and Jon Charles Hellyar. They both got arrested in 1983, serving a life sentence of 75 years.

Ray and Faye Copeland

They are the oldest serial killer couple to get sentenced to death in the United States. They are famous for being history's worst serial killers. They murder five drifters of their farm in Moorseville, Missouri. They hired these drifters and after their work got over Ray shot them and then they buried those bodies.

In the year 1989, the couple got caught when one of their employees complained of seeing bones in their property.

They made their mark in history for being the oldest couple to get death-sentenced but they were never executed. In 1993, Ray died of Death row inside the prison. Faye’s sentence was reduced to life in prison. She died due to health issues on December 30, 2003. she passed at the age of 82.

Alvin and Judith Neelley

In 1983, Lisa Ann Millican got kidnapped by Alvin and Judith Neelley and was badly tortured and murdered. She got shot in the head and her body dumped in the Canyon River, Alabama. After their first murder, this couple committed another murder of Janice Kay Chatman. She was also tortured and murdered.

Janice's Finance survived the incident and identified the couples. Judith is the youngest female to get sentenced to death in 1983, but later on in 1999, it got reduced life-sentence. Alvin served in prison and died in the year 2005.

Alton Coleman and Debra Brown

This couple committed crimes across six states. They murdered, kidnapped, robbed many people between the period of May and July 1984 which resulted in deaths of 8 people.

When the couple meets each other in 1983, Coleman already had done many sex crimes by then. Both the couple got a death penalty. Coleman received a death penalty from 3 different states. Finally, he got executed in Ohio, 2002. Debra still serves in prison.

Martha Beck and Raymond Fernandez

Martha and Raymond are the "Lonely Hearts Killers". Their method of killing was unique. All their victims met through lonely hearts ad. They conned and murdered those people in the name of love.

They were convicted of murdering more than 20 people between the years 1947 and 1949. In 1949, they got caught after killing a young widow Delphine Downing and her daughter. Both got sentenced to death.

Gwendolyn Graham and Catherine May Wood

These two women were American serial killers who murdered five elderly women. They were working as nurses in Alpine Manor Nursing home when they committed the crime. All five victims suffered from Alzheimer's disease.

The killers preyed on it and continued their crimes. They got caught one year later when Cathy Wood confessed in front of the police. It was an act of revenge on Graham because she left Cathy for another woman. Graham got life-sentenced and Wood served 40 years in prison.

Committing murder is risky. But when you get another partner in crime it becomes less risky. These serial killer couples are the example of such a horrifying act. Sometimes they get away but most of the time they get caught due to their own mistakes.
