Top 10 Notorious Serial Killers Who Never Got Caught In Spite of Committing Heinous Crimes

MYSTERIOUS SERIAL KILLERS

What comes into your mind when you hear the word, Serial Killer? I suppose it’s a creepy man hiding in the shadows, waiting for an opportunity to seize his prey? Most homicides have a motive, but in the case of serial killers, the motive is replaced by a psychological urge to kill, which is frequently devoid of any logical reason or personal vendetta against the victim.

Serial killers are not concentrated in any one religion but rather are all over the world. Most of the time, they were apprehended, but there have been cases where the wrong person was taken in custody (and then released), and there have been cases where the case remains unsolved, and these serial killers are still wanted today.

Owing to their enigmatic appearance, the killers are often identified by their media-assigned nicknames. Shivers will run down your spine when you read about some cold-blooded serial killers.

Beer Man - Is the mysterious killer still out there?

This one is the oddest. Between October 2006 and January 2007, six people were killed in Mumbai, and in each case, cops discovered a beer can beside the victim’s body. This led them to believe it was a serial killer. The next three murders were charged against a man named Ravindra Kantrole, but he was cleared of any wrongdoing and acquitted due to a lack of evidence. However, the Beer Man mystery remains unresolved.

Zodiac Killer

Another well-known serial killer is The Zodiac Killer. In letters to newspapers, the Zodiac Killer claimed to have committed 37 murders; but, police agree on only seven confirmed victims, two of whom survived. He taunted police officers and threatened them in letters.

From 1969 to 1974, these letters were sent to local newspapers before suddenly ceasing. A history professor and his wife deciphered one of the encrypted letters, which revealed that he killed to gather slaves for his afterlife. Even though the police gathered evidence and interviewed several suspects, the true murderer was never apprehended.

The Cleveland Torso Murderer

Unidentified to this day is the Cleveland Torso Murderer, who had made 20 killings from 1935 to 1938. This serial killer appeared to target drifters, though some people were never identified as such. Gender had no preference, and both men and women were murdered. Each victim was decapitated and the torso cut in half in some cases.

Most men suffered from the removal of their genitals, and certain victims showed signs of chemical treatment in their bodies. Long after their deaths, most were found, and the advanced degradation stage made it also difficult to identify the remains.

The Doodler

He was held responsible for 14 murders and three attacks on gay men in San Francisco, California, and remains unidentified to this day. He collected them from gay nightclubs, pubs, and restaurants, and the shocking activities took place between January 1974 and September 1975. The Doodler got artistic when cultivating his madness, sketching his victims after sexual encounters, then stabbing and murdering them.

The Stone man Killer

This serial killer had created a panic in Mumbai and was in the headline in the late ’80s. The Stoneman enjoyed murdering people for fun, mercilessly murdered at least 13 homeless people as they were sleeping in just six months. The same thing happened in Kolkata a few years back. No one is in custody with any of the murders to this day, which makes me wonder what will happen if he returns.

Jack the Ripper

In 1888, the murderer appeared in London’s Whitechapel district and murdered and mutilated five people, all prostitutes. The murderer was thought to be a surgeon, butcher, or someone professional with a scalpel, according to police. By sending letters detailing the crimes, the murderer humiliated society and the police. Despite the fact that several suspects have been named over the years, the murderer has never been found.

Pedro Lopez

One of the world’s most notorious serial killers may still be alive and well. Pedro Lopez has been linked to over 300 murders in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. One-third of the murders were of tribal women’s.

Police discovered the graves of more than 50 of Lopez’s preteen victims after his conviction in 1980. He was later found guilty of killing 110 girls in Ecuador and admitted more than 240 murders in Colombia and Peru. The “Monster of the Andes” was released in 1998 for good conduct after just 20 years in jail. His whereabouts have been unknown for more than 20 years.

Freeway Phantom

Despite receiving several tips via phone and mail pointing to possible suspects, the Metropolitan Police Department’s task force has come no closer to solving the case. Some of the leads were easily dismissed, while others needed further investigation.

There have been a few intriguing suspects along the way, but the Freeway Phantom has remained a phantom so far.

Long Island Serial Killer

He is suspected of being responsible for up to sixteen murders over a twenty-year period, with the majority of his victims being prostitutes. The bodies would be thrown along the Ocean Parkway near Gilgo Beach, Oak Beach, and Jones Beach State Park after the murders were committed.

The Long Island Serial Killer is thought to have been active as recently as 2016, leaving police scrambling and mobilizing all available resources in an attempt to find and apprehend the killer before he murders again.

Marie Besnard

Marie was characterized as unethical, vicious, a thief, and a girl who ran wild with the boys by those who knew her at school. Marie was arrested right away, and all of the other suspicious deaths in the area were exhumed and re-examined. Marie was charged with 13 counts of murder as a result of this. Every victim was poisoned by arsenic over a period of time, according to autopsy reports.

However, since toxicology was a relatively new science at the time, it was difficult to prove this, and the forensic surgeon had trouble justifying and defending his findings when challenged on the stand by the defence lawyers.

As a result, she was not convicted in the first two cases. In 1961, she was put on trial for the third time. The prosecution, however, was successful in undermining the validity of the arsenic facts once again, and Marie was acquitted of all charges.

Well, there are many teen serial killers also like James Fairweather, etc. Those who become serial killers before reaching their adolescent years are perhaps the most frightening of all. It’s easy to demonize a murderous adult, but hating someone who is so young? For anyone involved, this triggers a whole new set of feelings.

Although reading about the heinous crimes perpetrated by serial killers like Cyanide Mallika” (India’s first convicted female serial killer), Raman Raghav, Surinder Koli and Moninder Singh Pandher (Nithari Case Killers) or Ted Bundy is terrifying, speculating about the ones that have never been taken into custody is equally fascinating.

Owing to their cunning and willingness to remain under the radar, a few serial killers have eluded law enforcement throughout history. The fact that many of these murderers are still out there, walking among us, is particularly terrifying. We want answers to our questions, but most of these murderers’ true identities are unlikely to come out.
